Returns Policy
We know from the feedback we receive from you that you love us to hunt down the best products at bargain prices. To do this we try to keep all of our costs down including the cost of covering returns from our customers and do not accept returns except where the basis of the return is covered by the Trade Practices Act 1974. So when you’re at the checkout, take a second to run your eye over your order for any slips of the finger before submitting because once you’ve submitted it, it’s too late!!

Exchange Policy
We make every effort to make sure our product descriptions are as detailed as possible and that includes sizing and colour guides for our clothing type product. Please choose carefully as we are unable to exchange product once you've received your order unless we have made a genuine mistake in our description (and yes, we are human) or where your request to exchange is covered by the Trade Practices Act 1974.

If you think you have a case for a genuine exchange request then please contact us first before sending your order back to us as it may get declined and returned to you. In all cases Proof of purchase is required in order to get an exchange. Please note products returned to us for an exchange must be in a resalable condition with packaging intact and all labels etc returned with the item, also, due to copyright issues exchanges are not available on  DVD’s, except where the product is deemed faulty.

Warranty Policy
1-day’s warranty policy covers our products for 12 months from the purchase date. Warranty claims cover any fault, defect or failure occurring as a result of the manufacturing process. Damage or faults occurring as a result of misuse, accident, or wear and tear is not covered by our warranty policy.

If you feel that your purchase has a fault that is covered under warranty please contact us, including as much detail as possible (including a photo of the issue if possible or applicable) so that we can assess the problem and advise you of a solution.

Restrictions and exceptions:
As a result of copyright laws a refund or exchange is only available for the following products if the product is defective;

  • DVDs

Trade Practices Act 1974
The Trade Practices Act 1974 sets out minimum standards for goods sold by 1-day.com.au. In the event that goods sold are not of good quality or are faulty, the customer has the right to a repair, replacement or a refund.
The Trade Practices Act 1974 is designed to protect the customer being misled, either intentionally or unintentionally. This applies to all aspects of the promotion and sale of goods and services including: pricing; where the product was made; where the product is from; the meeting of Australian safety standards; availability of products in store and the sales techniques used. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission enforces the Trade Practices Act 1974.

How to return a product:
If you think that you have a valid reason to return under the policies described above please contact us before sending your order back to us as the processes we use are different depending upon your situation. If you don’t contact us first it could delay your request or result in your claim being rejected. In all cases proof of purchase will be necessary to process your request.

Change to orders
We know that our sales can be popular and things sell fast but it's really important for everyone that our customers orders come through with all the information we need. Unfortunately, once you've submitted your order and payment has been accepted we can't make any changes to it – that includes sizes, colours, quantity and address details. It's not that we don’t want to but we move fast so you get your parcel quickly and we’re ready for tomorrow's sale.

You don't need to rush things once the product is in your basket as you have between 3 – 5 minutes to finish the order before you lose the product from your basket. In the meantime that product is allocated to you and cannot be purchased by another customer.

Out of Stock and Backorders
While we do everything we can to make sure our stock levels are accurate at all times there may be occasions due to unforeseen circumstances where we are unable to fulfill your order or source a replacement product. If this should occur we will contact you and offer either a store credit for the value of your purchase or a full refund. Please note that we cannot offer a backorder or "rain check" facility.
 

Discussion Tab Use Policy
Before posting a comment on the Discussion Tab check out our guidelines:

  1. We've created this tab so that you can share your views on the products being sold on any given day and welcome all feedback good and bad as long as it's constructive (Sorry, but "This product sucks" just won't cut it as a constructive criticism!)
  2. This Tab isn’t for you to have public spats with your ex-girlfriend/boyfriend/best friend or cyber-enemy. If you want to do that then go find another site as most of our 1-day punters find that kind of behaviour pretty yawnful.
  3. We usually have one of our staff keeping an eye on the comments mainly so we can answer some of your questions straight away so don’t worry if we pop in from time to time to help out.
  4. We do reserve the right to remove any comments that we believe aren’t particularly helpful or appropriate for the tab (see points 1 and 2) or are of an offensive nature. A basic rule of thumb to follow is if you wouldn’t say it to your Mama face to face then don’t say it here!
  5. We guarantee your privacy and will not publicly disclose your identity or contact details other than the username you are using to post comments.
